2024 Met Gala Recap & Review

On May 6, 2024, the Met Gala took place. The red carpet theme this year was ‘The Garden Of Time’. Let us take a look at some of the best red carpet looks this year!

• Zendaya. As always, Miss Zendaya (pictured above) did not come to play. She wore a black, vintage Givenchy dress with a flower headdress. She then sported another dress, this time she wore a Maison Margiela Artisanal designed by John Galliano. Her dress has blues, greens, and gold. This time, it was a mermaid dress and she continued to sport a headdress, though she added lace over the front of her face. Truely, she understood the theme!

• Gigi Hadid. Another fashion icon, the model (pictured left) wore a Thom Browne and Chopard Jewelry dress. The dress was mainly white with yellow flowers, green leafs, and black trim. Miss Hadid had a Marilyn-inspired hair and a red lip. Her dress was more abstract at the bottom and off the shoulder. She might be one of my favorite outfits of the night!

• Emma Chamberlain. Emma (pictured right) has got to be one of my favorite influencers and she has style! She wore a black, tight dress with a cape that evening. The dress really reminds me of branches and a dark forest. It was elegant and dark and so Emma. I can’t wait to see what she wears to the next Met Gala!

• Alia Bhatt. Truthfully, I've never heard of Alia (pictured below) but she has got my attention. She showed up in a Sabyaschi saree adorned with flowers. The saree included pink and white flowers, custom Indian jewelry, and a 23-foot long train. Her makeup was one point as well. I felt as if I should see her in a vintage, colorful painting! She’s definitely tied with Gigi for best dressed!

• Phoebe Dynevor. Phoebe (pictured below) showed up in a custom Victoria Beckham pink dress. Her’s was more plain but still stuck to the theme. Her pink dress with flowers at the bottom radiated elegance and class. So, while she wasn’t as out there as the others, she still gave what needed to be given!

• Lana Del Ray. Just like many other Met Galas, she (pictured right) put her all into her look. She wore an Alexander McQueen look this year. This look reminds me of the Garden of Eden. Her skin-toned dress was outlined with brown branches and her headpiece was branches as well. On her arm was a singular red rose, like Beauty and the Beast. She never fails to disappoint at the Met!

• Elle Fanning. Miss (pictured left) Sleeping Beauty herself! I loved her Disney Cinderella inspired dress. She wore a tight Balmain, glassy gown with birds pulling her dress at the shoulders. Her sculpture dress made her look like a fairy tale princess. Elle Fanning is the perfect person to pull off the theme this year!
