Where Are the Bills?

The Buffalo Bills might be the best team in the AFC Conference. Before the start of the season, the Buffalo Bills had the third-best odds of winning the Superbowl. Heading into week 16, they have the 7th best odds of winning the Superbowl. Although they are 7th in tidal odds, they are 4th among AFC teams.

The AFC teams ahead of the Bills are Miami, Kansas City, and Baltimore. Buffalo has already beaten Miami this year by 28 points, and Buffalo beat Kansas City at Arrowhead by 3. Buffalo has yet to play Baltimore, but with the season-ending injuries to Mark Andrews and Keaton Mitchell, they aren’t the dominating force they once were.

Buffalo started the year rough with losses to the New York Jets and the Patriots, but since the firing of Ken Dorsey, they are 3-1 and have fixed one of their most glaring issues. Buffalo's run game was seen as an extreme weakness. Besides Josh Allen the Bills saw little to no production on the ground. However, since Ken Dorseys’ firing, Buffalo has unleashed running back James Cook. James Cook is averaging 88.3 rushing yards, 52.8 receiving yards, and 5.2 YPC since week 11. That is 20 more rushing yards, 30 more receiving yards, and 1 more YPC compared to the first 10 weeks under Ken Dorsey.

With the hard decline amongst AFC teams because of injury, Buffalo has a great chance to come out on top. The Kansas City Chiefs are averaging 22 PPG and do not have a true Wide Receiver 1. The Miami Dolphins have yet to beat a team over .500, and Baltimore only has 1 playoff win with Lamar Jackson at the helm. The Bills can still take the 1 seed in the AFC East, and if they make the playoffs with relative health, they will be a hardout.
